First Associate Concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra since 2005, Canadian violinist Juliette Kang has also been Assistant Concertmaster of the Boston Symphony and a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Juliet’s solo engagements have included the San Francisco Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony, the Boston Pops, the Omaha Symphony, the Czech Philharmonic, l’Orchestre National de France, the Hong Kong Philharmonic, and the KBS Symphony in Seoul and every major orchestra in Canada. In 1994 she was the gold medalist at the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis and was a winner of the 1989 Young Concert Artists (YCA) auditions. A frequent chamber musician, festivals she has participated in include Bravo! Vail, Kingston (RI), Marlboro, Moab, Skaneateles, and Spoleto USA. Juliet first appeared at SLLMF in 2024.
